    This site is dedicated to Smallmouth fishermen/fisherpersons wherever they may be found. In this site you will find articles, tips, and links to other related smallmouth sites.   

       Although Dr. James Alexander Henshall was talking about both Largemouth and Smallmouth when he described the perfect fish in 1881"Inch for inch and pound for pound the gamest fish that swims" we would like to believe that he was referring to the Smallmouth. Currently they are found in throughout most of the Continental United States, Hawaii and Canada. 

Proven favorite lures and tactics

    It's hard and almost impossible to list all the individual lures and manufacturers that will consistently catch decent size smallmouth's but we will discuss types of lures and tactics that work on a regular basis.  We will also list some of the more popular and reliable manufacturers of lures, tackle, boats and electronics.

    Please note that this site is for everybody. From beginners to experts and while some of the material may seem very basic to you it may be news to somebody else. Also this site is mainly for an exchange of smallmouth bass fishing information, while graphics are neat and pretty they take too long to download.  For that reason graphics will be kept to a minimum. Also because we (at Bronzeback.com) can fish and use computers but we just can't draw worth a darn!
